Sunday the ranch is closed as it is Ms. Joey's only day she reserves for her and her family. However, the chores still need to be done and we are always looking for responsible, horse savy people to help take care of the horses. There is no supervision on Sundays and so all volunteers must be 18 and older or accompanied by their parent the entire time of their stay.

We are in need of volunteers for everyday work at the ranch and for special events.
All ages are welcome, however, we do require ages 9 and under to be accompanied by an adult.
Who we need:
- Basic Operations – help caring for and rehabilitating horses
- Kids Care Program Counselors – help expand a child’s world by introducing them to horses, handling them, rehabilitating them – the reward of caring for them.
-
Donation Hunters – help us hunt for donations and/or bargins on regularly used items such as hay, fly masks, rope halters, rakes and wheel barrels. And/or not so regularly used items such as a tractor, arena lights, or a pergola.
-
Corporate Sponsors – locate corporate sponsors within the valley to help keep us in operation

Who is welcome? Any volunteer who wants to help out at the ranch and with the horses. However, if your are 9 years old or younger, we do require that you have a parent or guardian with you at all times. Kids this is a great way to get any volunteer hours you may need for school and other projects. Not only will you have fun while getting your goals, you get to make all kinds of friends too!
What will you do? There is ALWAYS so much to do at the Luv Shack. Each session we start off with caring for the horses. And then we move on to various projects depending on what needs to be done including:
- grooming
- building projects
- art projects
- ground keeping projects
- and much much more!
What will you learn? This is an excellent opportunity to learn about horses from experienced horse handlers:
- how to care for horses
- how to feed horses
- how horses communicate with both other horses and people
- how to administer various forms of medications and medical attention
- herd dynamics
- the responsibility and the reward of caring for horses
