We can't do this without amazing people like you!

This is a story of a new begining for both Nakai, a little Mustang and for a 15 year old named Travis.  

We rescued Nakai from slaughter in May.  She was used as a practice bucking horse. When she stopped bucking, the owner needed her off his feed bill.  So the old owner contacted us, knowing that Nakai's fate would be slaughter, in hopes that we would rescue her.  Nakai is a 31/2 year old Mustang.  Trust and Confidence are a major issue especially with humans.   

 On September 20, Mike Stacy, a well known horsemanship trainer took in Nakai. It seemed to be a perfect fit.  Mike's mission is  "Instilling Confidence in Horse and Rider"tm, exactly what Nakai needed!

 Earlier this year, Travis found himself in a bit of trouble and it seemed to be getting deeper.  Travis has always shown interest in horses and horses show interest in him. He needed a way out.  Mike Stacy took him under his wing with Nakai.

  Here is Travis and Nakai creating Trust and Confidence in each other.  This is the first lesson!

  Mike is helping Nakai trust.

  Nakai is showing that she Trusts and has Confidence in Mike.  Her job used to be "buck off" the rider.
