 Luv Shack Ranch

Horse Rescue

     MISSION STATEMENT:

Our mission is to Rescue, Rehabilitate, and Reintroduce back into a strong, educated, and loving society, the abused, neglected and/or slaughterbound horse bringing these together with children to help them heal from similar circumstances.

VALUES:

In the midst of an ancient volcano named Black Mountain, in the outskirts of Phoenix, Arizona, Joey Ogburn realized the value and impact of her first rescue of three severly abused orphaned foals.  Taking what some would discard: the abused and often slaughterbound  horse, she initiated programs, offered free of charge, focusing on children with many different needs giving them goals, confidence,  leadership capabilities, and healing.

The LUV Shack is "bridled" to four advantageous operations to take part in accomplishing this task:

 Rescue        Re-introduce       Rehabilitate       Re-educate

OBJECTIVES:

The LUV Shack Ranch Rescue Administration Staff's overall goal is two-fold:

1). To ensure that the abused, neglected, and/or slaughter-bound horse receives immediate and appropriate care and consideration throughout its days of life and is permitted to expire in a natural or assisted dignified way.

2). To encourage and educate children and adults, especially concentrating on those at-risk emotionally, mentally, and physically, building a plethora of knowledge, respect, and healing alongside the rehabilitated horse. This includes direct involvement with organizations seeking hard to find programs, offered without cost, for these children and adults.

Our objectives are to continue to rescue equines and incorporate programs that match the communities needs, implementing educational programs that readjust thinking to a more humane level- building benevolent individuals which in turn foster a well-adjusted family environment that filter into thriving communities.
