Vegas

3 year old gelding Quarter Horse.

Annie

2 year old Filly

Delilah

18 year old Thorobred

Echo

11 year old Arabian

Echo was an owner turn in.  He is under saddle now and doing VERY well.  Echo has been trained, however after doing some research, Echo has only had about a year under saddle.  He is not your typical flighty arabian, he has a VERY good head on his shoulders.  With the right match, he could be your best friend with a lot of years to come.  He is barefoot and sound.

Chloe

Available as a companion horse, ONLY.

Chloe was dropped off at the LUV Shack scared to death!  We were told to just rope her if we are unable to catch her.  That has never been an issue since we have built her trust, confidence and respect.  She is now taking treats out of our hand.  With a shoulder that was broken and a blown out right knee, she  is running around like she is two again.  The light in her eyes is back.

Remington

Mustang, gelding

Remington, the other 3 1/2  year old mustang, not only started this rescue he created our logo!  Remington came to the Luv Shack when he was just 2 weeks old as well.  While he was loosing his "baby hair" Joey came out one morning to feed him and the heart in our logo had appeared on his chest.  Whoever this playful, feisty mustang picks would be a VERY SPECIAL person.  He also has been ridden in a saddle, bareback, trimmed (he must stay barefoot, no shoes), halter broke, loads into a trailer, and his favorite pastime is "playing soccer" with his gigantic soccer ball (or Cody).  He truly is the most playful and instigates a lot of play time with other horses.

Nakai

Mustang

Nakai came to the LUV Shack in May 2007.  She was used as a practice bucking horse, when she stopped bucking she needed to move on.  Knowing that if she was taken to the auction she would be sold for slaughter, her old owner asked us to take her.  She came to us very scared and not very trusting of humans. We have only had her a couple of months and she is growing in her trust, respect and willingness to try whatever we ask of her.  She LUVS the kids that volunteer their time here.

 Lyra & Mordecai available September
